Ethical Marketing : It's not an oxymoron.
Ethically, you can offer services and products to customers without their feeling guilt, or shame, or need to buy.
Ethical marketing takes social marketing mix techniques and applies it
to your product or service. Your customer then chooses you rather than
feels pressure to make a purchase.
It is an honest and factual representation of a product delivered in a framework of cultural and social values for the
consumer. It promotes qualitative benefits to its customers and attempts to to market a product
in a more socially responsible way.
The thought behind it is to build customer and brand loyalty by
reinforcing the positive elements about the brand rather than creating
a marketing strategy based solely on consumption.
Social Marketing
Social marketing also approaches the customer or consumer in a different manner than traditional marketing.
Social marketing attempts to elicit a change in attitude or behavior rather than consumption of a product or service.
Most often, social marketing is associated with things such as anti-smoking campaigns, a "woman's right to choose," anti-hate law legislation, and so forth.
